Stop caring about that stuff!
- Matteus 13:3-8 Och han (Jesus) talade till dem i många liknelser. Han sade:"En såningsman gick ut för att så. Och när han sådde, föll en del vid vägen, och fåglarna kom och åt upp det.En del föll på stenig mark, där det inte hade mycket jord. Det sköt genast upp, eftersom det inte hade djup jord. Men när solen steg, förbrändes det och vissnade bort, därför att det inte hade någon rot. En del föll bland tistlar, och tistlarna växte upp och kvävde det. Men en del föll i god jord och bar frukt, hundrafalt och sextiofalt och trettiofalt."
- Matteus 13:22 "Det som såddes bland tistlar är den som hör ordet, men världsliga bekymmer och bedräglig rikedom kväver ordet, så att det blir utan frukt."
Alltså hur lätt är det inte att låta sig kvävas av de där himla tistlarna egentligen?
Jag och Daniel har köpt vår första lägenhet tillsammans och håller nu på att renovera den. Daniel jobbar i Norge varannan vecka så han är bara hemma 6 dagar innan han åker igen vilket har lett till att han ofta har känt sig stressad över allt som "måste" göras i lägenheten. Och när Daniel blir stressad på det här sättet så blir han deppig och arg, vilket inte alls är särskilt kul när vi bara har några dagar tillsammans innan han åker igen.
Men nu har vi äntligen kommit på lösningen: att inte bry sig! Hur mycket gör det egentligen att det är lite kaos här och var och att renoveringen tar längre tid? Är det verkligen viktigare än vår relation till varandra och Gud? Det är så himla värt att ta de där extra timmarna på morgonen för en trevlig frukost på balkongen och en andakt i soffan i lugn och ro. Så. Himla. Värt.
Man måste inte vara supereffektiv jämt, det är ändå bara värdsliga saker och det är inte värt att stressa upp sig över dem, för det är inget som följer med in i evigheten.
Veckans utmaning
- Fundera över vad du lägger din tid på och om du kanske behöver prioritera om något. Finns det något som stressar dig som kanske inte är så viktigt trots allt?
- Evighetsperspektiv: att fokusera på det som spelar roll i det långa loppet!

How easy isn't it to allow ourselves to be choked by those freaking thorns?
Daniel and I just bought our first apartment together and we're now renovating it. Daniel works in Norway every second week so he is only at home for six-seven days before he heads back, which have led to him feeling stressed about all that "has to be done" in the apartment. And when Daniel gets stressed in this way he becomes low and angry, which is not all that fun when we only have a few days together before he goes back.
But now we have finally found the solution: to not bother! How bad is it really if it's a bit of chaos here and there and that the renovation will take longer? Is it really more important than our relationship with each other and God? It's so much more worth taking those extra hours in the morning for a nice breakfast on the balcony and some time with God on the couch. So. Freaking. Worth. It.
You don't have to be super efficient all the time, those things are just worldly matters and it's not worth it to stress about it, because you can't bring those kind of things with you into eternity.
