Are you rich?

  • Acts 4:32-35 "Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need."
First of all, who is rich? Is it when you have a 10 million dollar home and a nice car? If you would ask me, my answer is that I think that a person is rich when they have more money than they need to survive. If you can buy nice clothes and food just becuase you want, well congrats - you are among the richest people in the world. Almost 2 BILLION people live on less than 2 USD per day. And today, more than 20'000 children died due to poverty.
 
But the good news is: We can help! If you have all the things you need, but still have some money left, why don't use it to save someones life? This christmas, me and Daniel started to support two children in Indonesia; Zhak and Zefanya. Where they live, the average income is between 50-60 USD per month! The amount of money we give each month is not much for us, but it makes such a great difference for them!
 
For what we give, they get:
  • School fee
  • Bible teaching
  • Nutritious food
  • Medical check-ups
  • Sports
  • Tutoring
  • English courses
We also get to pray for them, write to them and have the opportunity to visit them!

  • Apostlagärningarna 4:32-35 "Hela skaran av dem som kommit till tro var ett hjärta och en själ, och ingen kallade något av det han ägde för sitt utan de hade allt gemensamt. Med stor kraft bar apostlarna fram vittnesbördet om Herren Jesu uppståndelse, och stor nåd var över dem alla.
 Ingen av dem led någon brist, för alla som hade mark eller hus sålde sådant som de ägde och bar fram betalningen för det som sålts. och lade ner det vid apostlarnas fötter. Och man delade ut åt var och en efter hans behov."

Först av allt, vem är rik? Är det när man har en villa för 10 miljoner och en fin bil? Om du skulle fråga mig, så är mitt svar att jag tycker att en person är rik när de har mer pengar än de behöver för att överleva. Om du kan köpa fina kläder och mat bara för att du har lust, grattis - du är bland de rikaste människorna i världen. Nästan 2 miljarder människor lever på mindre än 14 kr per dag. Och idag, så dog över 20'000 barn på grund av fattigdom.

 

Men den goda nyheten är: Vi kan hjälpa! Om du har allt som du behöver, men ändå har lite pengar kvar, varför inte använda det för att rädda någons liv? Förra julen, så började jag och Daniel stödja 2 barn i Indonesien; Zhak och Zefanya. Där de bor är den genomsnittliga inkomsten under 400 kr per månad! De pengar som vi ger varje månad är inte mycket för oss, men det gör så stor skillnad för dem!

  • Hälsokontroller
  • Sport
  • Undervisningstid
  • Utbildning i engelska
