YWAM DTS

I actually thought that (the Swedish) wikipedia had a good summary so that's what you'll get!
Youth with A Mission" is now one of the world's largest evangelical mission organisations and is located in over 130 countries, and YWAM's personal represents about 169 different nationalities. The missionary movement works ideally to allow young people to learn more about Christian faith, they want to show Jesus as a personal savior and want to mobilize, train and equip young people to help in the task of pursuing the great comission.
YWAM has various schools that you can go on such as YWAM's own University of Nations (U of N) where you can get education and training in various areas such as engineering, science or Christian service. The schools combine the teaching with disciplinary education and practical work. The foundation for continued education or service within YWAM is their Discipleship Training School (DTS).
Me and Daniel are now "staff (leaders)" on a leadership/adventure DTS on Ambergris Caye in Belize.
A DTS is 5 months long and divided into two stages: the first is a 12 week long lecture phase where students can work on their personal relationship with God. During these 12 weeks, there will be a new speaker each week teaching on a subject such as: Character of God, Christian foundations, created for greatness, etc. The topics vary between schools. There are also many different directions on DTS, we went on a skiing/snowboarding DTS. They are also inclined towards different age groups, "Crossroads" is for example the DTS for "adults."
After the lecture phase, the students go on a mission trip (outreach) for about 9 weeks and they are given the opportunity to practice their faith. It can range from physical work to evangelism or visit churches/hospitals/schools.
YWAM is exclusively voluntary and no employee is paid anything. Most people live on support from friends, family and church from home.
